December 2023

End of the year roundup…

We welcomed and adorable litter of three red boys on July 27th! Dad is Gilley (GCH Itsy Bitsy Thistledown Family Legacy) and mom is Sunny (Thistledown Itsy Bitsy You are My Sunshine). Sunny was an excellent mother and the three boys have all found amazing, loving homes .

In October we headed up to Pennsylvania for the NTCA National Specialty week. We enjoyed watching all of the Itsy Bitsy dogs being shown - Parker and Clifford (both Radar x Popsy sons), Charlie and Jones (Clifford kids), Kirby (Ami x Radar), and Harrison (Kirby x Libby). We saved the best for last and on Sunday at the National, Harrison was RWD under judge Desi Murphy for a 3-point major, Charlie was RWB, and Parker was BOB. Thank you to everyone for their kind words and congratulations about all the dogs.

We welcomed a new puppy to the house as well - “Paddy” - Itsy Bitsy Thistledown Meet Me At Paddington Station. Paddy is a Chuckles (Ragus Spoondrift) x Marley (Itsy Bitsy Just One Bright Day) son. He is the sweetest boy and we love having him with us.

See you in 2024!

In March I took Kirby to the Louisville cluster of shows to try and finish his championship. On Saturday, March 18th at the NTCA supported entry he was WD/BOW for a 5-point major to become a new AKC champion. Our judge was Mr. Thomas Nesbitt. Kirby is the first dog that I have finished completely on my own and he is happiest, sweetest boy and I am so proud of him.

December 2022

This spring, Tickles was bred to Radar (US/UK CH Belleville Just for Effect) and in July had a red girl puppy, now named Cookie. She is, as my mother would say, a little Dickens, and is keeping us on our toes!

In October, we headed up to Pennsylvania for the Norwich Terrier Club of America National Specialty and Supported Entry shows in the Macungie, PA area. We had a lot of fun and success over the 4 days. At both Hatboro shows, Foxbriar’s National Pinnacle from Itsy Bitsy (Parker) was WD/BOW. Parker is a Radar x Popsy son owned by Marilyn Jacobs. GCHG National Treasure from Itsy Bitsy (Bryce) was awarded an Award of Merit at Hatboro and BOS at Devon.

I was proud to show Kirby, Itsy Bitsy Alegria Just For a Bear Hug, each day. Kirby was bred by Tonnie and Maria Kelley and is a Radar x Ami son. At the National Specialty, Kirby was awarded Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes and Winners Dog/Best of Winners for a 5-point major. Our sweeps judge was Nancy Nosiglia and the regular classes were judged by Larry Adams. Parker was Reserve Winners Dog at the National, making Radar sire to both the WD and RWD in the same year!

Last (but not least!) Bryce was awarded Best of Breed at the 2022 National Specialty!

Bryce is a Robbie x Feisty son. We are so proud of him and thankful to his owner Marilyn Jacobs and his handlers Jorge and Susie Olivera for presenting Bryce so well. They finished the year by winning BOB each day in Orlando, including at the AKC National Championship, and Bryce is the #1 dog (breed points) and #2 dog (all breed points) for 2022.

May 2022

Much news since the last update. On March 26, 2022 the NTCA held a specialty and sweepstakes in Fort Worth, TX. Our judge for the regular classed was Mrs. Rosalind Kramer. We had a great day! BOS to Tickles, WD/BOW for a 5-point major to Clifford (Itsy Bitsy Just For a Little Red Dog, a Radar x Popsy puppy), RWD to Kirby (Itsy Bitsy Alegria Just For a Bear Hug, a Radar x Ami puppy bred by Tonnie, Jerry, and Maria Kelley) and RWB to Mattie (Itsy Bitsy Thistledown Family Affair, a Skip x Bobbin puppy).

Tickles and I went up to PA for the MCKC week in October 2021 : Morris and Essex, Hatboro 1 & 2, Devon, and Montgomery. I am proud to say that Tickles was awarded Best of Opposite Sex four times, including at the National, judged by Peggy Beisel-McIlwaine. I am so proud of Tickles and all she has done at the shows. Tickles is GCH Itsy Bitsy Thistledown Tickle Me Tickle You, a Robbie x Feisty daughter.

We are also so proud of the Gilley puppies bred by Wheatley Wentzell and Peggy Helming. Two puppies, Mollie and Pepper, sired by Gilley (a Skip son out of Chili, GCH CH Itsy Bitsy Red Hot Legacy) were shown over four days. Mollie and Pepper are out of Adele, CH Pouch Cove Veritas It’s Me, and bred by Peggy Helming and Wheatley Wentzell. Wheatley handled Mollie to WB twice, at Hatboro II and MCKC. Pepper, shown by Jill LaRocco (among her first times in the ring) was RWD to the major at Hatboro II and Best of Opp in sweeps at MCKC.

EXCITING NEWS! Skip goes BIS at the Calcasieu Kennel Club Dog Show on June 10, 2021! Thank you to breed judge Mrs. Jacqueline Stacy, Group judge Ms. Peggy Beisel-McIlwaine, and BIS judge Mr. Ken Murray.Thank you to Ashlie Whitmore and Alfonso Escobedo for taking such good care of Skip and always believing in him.

Congratulations to our recent new champion! CH Itsy Bitsy Thistledown Lady Liberty “Libby” earned her championship at the Forth Worth Kennel Club shows in March 2021. Libby was shown by Ashlie Whitmore and Alfonso Escobedo and is a Robbie x Feisty daughter.
